Usage: dbamon [test]

Purpose: Start dbamon in foreground (non-daemon) mode.

Run From: Command line only

Parameters:

• [test] Optionally, run dbamon in foreground test mode. In test mode, /opt/dbamon/adm/dbamonrc_test will be read instead of /opt/dbamon/adm/dbamonrc.

The dbamon command starts DBAmon in foreground mode. Normally, you would run DBAmon in daemon mode, so would not start DBAmon by running dbamon. To start DBAmon in daemon mode, run: dbamon_checker .
